uh oh

Be careful out there...

Dear Students,
Over the last few months, the Office of Residential Life and Physical Plant have found a number of unauthorized animals or pets in student residences.  This email is to serve as a reminder that the pet policy only permits fish in a ten gallon tank (maximum).  No other pets or animals are permitted in student residences at any time, even if for a brief visit.
Students and their roommates who have a pet or animal found in their residence are subject to the following:
  1. Incident documented and reported to The Dean of Students Office for judicial action
  2. Fine of $100 per animal each time it is seen in a residence
  3. Immediate removal of the animal
  4. Charged for any additional cleaning that may result from the animal being  in the residence
If you have any additional questions, please contact the Office of Residential Life at reslife@wesleyan.edu or x3550

Sincerely,
The Office of Residential Life Staff

this just in from Wesleying

Have You Seen This Dog?

His name is Killer. Killer belongs to two Wesleyan professors. He has been missing since yesterday and is wearing a Home Again tag. He is a very sweet dog and is greatly missed! If you know where Killer is, please contact russellhouse(at)wesleyan.edu.

puppy party

We have gone way too long without a pet parade! My deepest apologies to all those photogenic pets around campus and their web-browsing friends. Here are some updates.

This lil Lady made an appearance at a party! It truly was a puppy party. Maggie had a nice time playing and petting.

Ally is in the market for a new canine friend, and this image was a source of inspiration for her. That could be you Ally!

And Brody and Dylan are still having fun.

Again, we at wesPETS are so sorry for the pet neglect, but keep the cute images coming in so that wesPETS can remain Wesleyan's leader in pet news!

close bonds

Alec sent in these beauty shots of his pet groundhog. He writes:

"here are a few pictures of my pet groundhog that lives near Freshmen Fauver. Ze's a real cutie. We have kind of a strange relationship, though, because it's hard for me to communicate to hir that ze is my pet. I don't think ze knows. I'm not sure about the wesPETS standard re: mutual caring, but I think appearing on wesPETS would really help clarify my relationship with Alex (isn't that cute?). Especially in this difficult time of transitioning to a long distance relationship."

We wish you two the best of luck! Keep us posted.

There is also a brand new addition to the wesPETS family! Dylan is a Welsh Terrier fresh off the plane from Florida and Brody's new baby brother. We can't wait to see this friendship take shape.

a pet parade

Here is a sampling of wesPETS favorites from the last couple of weeks - on and off campus. Bask in the rays emanating from these springtime darlings.

a look back

I am so sorry for the delay my pet-loving friends! The wesPETS staff has been off campus and not in-touch with the animals recently. Here is a clipping from a February edition of the Argus. It seems as though wesPETS-minded students were already organizing to represent the pets back in 1974.

nowhere to go

Because of the large piles of snow lining the pathways and the icy topcoat covering previously open lawns, this little guy had nowhere to go. Despite attempts to get past the ice and slush, his mom thought it best to keep him on the paths in the CFA.

wesPETS apologizes for our severe decline in posts this semester. The ice and snow don't make for great pet-walking conditions, and the pupulation around campus has gone inside. We are, however, working hard to bring you more exciting indoor pets. Keep wagging those tails!

welcome back pet peeps!

After a long time away, the pets are back on campus! While we compile some fresh faces to photograph and interview, take a peak at Gabe's loving former turtles Herbert and Shanequa.
