not quite wesPETS

Because the team at wesPETS is currently dispersed throughout the country, here are some of my handsome canine relatives to hold you over until next semester.

Roscoe is not a pet on campus, but he is my cousin. This Boston Terrier is shown nibbling on a tasty bone just last week.

This week, unfortunately, we encountered a few cases of pets sans owners.

 Hannah got up close and personal with this majestic kitty outside of Exley.

If anybody sees cookie, please do contact Sarah and Jenny! They are OBVIOUSLY willing to do what it takes to get their baby back.

a long tail welcomes a long weekend

This dumpling of a possum was perched outside Nics 5.5. Residents woke up on Tuesday morning to a pleasant but pale site.

the colonal

wesPETS lost a great friend this week. The Colonal was a super friend and fish. His bright colors glistened as he provided Maggie with enjoyment and company for his short few weeks here. We'll miss you, The Colonal.

Andrew met Daisy when she was out for a brisk morning walk with her parents. She looks fab in her matching pink accessories.

Faisal captured an intimate moment with 2-year-old Coco. She was surprising chill while surrounded by a gaggle of strangers.


As wesPETS continues to expand, we are constantly challenging ourselves to meet more pets. One in particular has caught our eye, but due to sheer speed, we have been unable to get a hold of him/her. This beautiful dog was spotted pulling his/her roller-blading owner around campus a couple of times this week. If anyone sees this duo, please contact wesPETS as we would LOVE to get acquainted with this eccentric pair.

We love Welsh Terriers here at wesPETS, and Ginger is no exception. She was the epitome of cool in her brown and black coat as she graced campus with her presence. This Middletown resident should stop by more often.

Andrew also spotted this wesPET trying to break free from the leash.

sneaking in

Merlin visited Kristin as a special treat, so this bundle of joy had the chance to experience dorm life for a day.

meet sophie

When we met Sophie outside of Usdan, she was very friendly and playful. We hope to see more of this Beagle soon.

a pet for the masses

Piers sent in this candid of the groundhog that lives outside French Hall. Although "Furly Tomlinson" may not be your average pet, a certain group of students feels much love for this endearing rodent.

halloweekend edition

This Halloween weekend went to the dogs. We met some new friends at Long Lane Farm's Pumpkin Fest on Saturday and even got an exclusive interview with French Bulldog, Molly Heyrman.

WP: What's your favorite snack?
MH: Carrots

WP: Do you like it here at Wesleyan?
MH: I love Wesleyan. When I was in the car yesterday, I perked-up upon entering Middletown. I was so excited to be here.

WP: What's your beauty product of choice?
MH: I do have some dandruff, so I am a proponent of Head and Shoulders.

WP: How old are you?
MH: 10 years old.

homecoming/pets weekend

This weekend was Homecoming and Family weekend, so you know what that means...tons o' dogs on campus! Although we didn't get any interviews, we did manage to take a few shots of the furry family members.

I am constantly curious about the dogs and other pets I see on campus. Who are they? Why are they here? Well wesPETS is here to figure it all out for you other eager animal-lovers. Whether it's a local walking his dog or a Freshman with a fish, wesPETS is on it. So, enjoy the cuteness!
